antique books

What is considered "old" when it comes to books?
I have some 1st edition books, and I know how old they are to be called antiques. Anyone familiar with old books?
The books are generally classified differently. Books are sought after by collectors of first editions. Rarity depends on the content and author. The condition is also important. Old Encyclopedias, geography textbooks and other generally have little value. Exception, the first readers, Dick and Jane and McGuffey have value. Local history more than 50 years, the first dime novels and old comic books can be valuable. Many young children "Little Golden" books have a value. For example, "Little Black Sambo" was stereotyped because has often been destroyed by the black and has a high price. You can go to the library and find information in your book in particular. Another possibility is to start Log on eBay and see if your book is that you can take the offer. A library book "Old Books" is another good resource.
