So let x parts, there are now 4x dimes, nickel = 5 cents then, x = 5x nickels and a dime = 10 cents and, dimes 4x = 4x = 40 now 10 cents dimes = Value + $ 3.15 Nickel => 40x = 5x + 315 [As $ 3.15 cents = 315] => 40x – 5x = 315 => 35x = 315 => x = 315 / 35 => X = 9 => Jamil has 9 cents and 4 * 9 = 36 dimes
