What is the silver content of Panamanian coins minted 1945-1970?
I’m interested in the one, two and five balboa coins
The Balboa up to 1974 is .900 silver. There are no 2 Balboa coins. The 5 Balboa did not start until 1970 and it depends on the date and type as to it’s silver content, some are .500 and others .925. The 1/10 Balboa and up are usually .900 silver until 1962. Some coins like the 1/2 Balboa were .400 silver clad up to 1972. Looks like there is no basic rules here so the coins need to be looked up by denomination and date.
